In collaboration with Halco Tackle, Rusty brings together two brands shaped by life on the water.
The collection centres on a range of apparel designed around the shared interests of surfers, anglers and outdoorsmen/ women everywhere, accompanied by a reimagining of the iconic Red Head deep dive lure.
Rusty was founded in San Diego, California, in 1985, when Rusty Preisendorfer launched his independent surf label. In 2006, the brand’s global headquarters moved to Perth, Western Australia, where it continues to operate today. Separated by decades, the two brands find common ground on the Western Australian coast.
Halco Tackle traces its beginnings to October 1950, when it began producing metal fishing lures and rigs from a backyard shed in Mosman Park, Western Australia. What began as a local operation grew into an enduring Australian fishing brand, built around equipment made for time spent on the water.
The collaboration reflects a shared attention to materials, durability and construction, expressed through silhouettes designed for the places where surfing, fishing and the outdoors intersect.
