Returns And Exchanges

Returns Policy

 

To be eligible for a refund, all purchases must be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase.

 

All products returned must be:

  • Full Price Item
  • In its original condition and packaging 
  • Unworn, unmarked and unwashed
  • Tags still attached, not crossed out or torn off
  • Swimwear hygiene seal in place and not broken

Items not eligible for return:

  • Sale items (red priced items)
  • WSL x Rusty Garments and Accessories
  • Surf accessories
  • Custom printed items
  • Pre-order items
  • International orders

 

Returns within Australia

Fees
Unless faulty, a flat rate return fee of $7.99 will be deducted from your total refund.

Requesting a Return

Please visit our Returns Portal to start the process. Have your online order number and email address handy.

A return label will be generated once you complete the online return process. Please re-use the original Rusty bag, print the shipping label, secure it to the satchel and drop by your local Post Office or PO Box.

Returns can take up 5-10 business days to reach our team. Once the package arrives at our HQ, please allow up to 7 business days for your refund to be processed and received.

Returns from New Zealand

Fees
New Zealand customers are responsible for all return shipping and handling fees.

Requesting a Return
Please visit our Returns Portal to start the process. Have your online order number and email address handy.

Once your return has been created via the portal, you are approved to return your item. Please organise your return shipping and be sure to quote your full name, email address and online order number with the return.

Please note – we recommend sending your item back via a trackable service, as we won’t be able to complete the refund if the package does not reach us safely.

Returns from New Zealand can take up 14+ business days to reach our team. Once the package arrives at our HQ, please allow up to 7 business days for your refund to be processed and received.

Exchanges
We offer exchanges! Please visit our Returns Portal to start the process and choose your new exchange item.

At the final step when lodging your exchange, you’ll be informed of any charges or refunds associated with your request. These funds will be processed when we receive your return, not at the time of your request. When we receive your return at our HQ, we will process your exchange request, confirm item availability and send out your new order via Australia Post.

Please note – Due to high demand, we cannot guarantee availability of your chosen exchange item until we have physically received and processed your return. If the chosen item is no longer available, we will issue a refund automatically.

If you would like to secure your new item or size straight away, please return your item via the return portal for a refund (minus the return fee) and place a new order for your preferred item which will be sent out as soon as possible.

Faulty Products
If you experience an issue with an item purchased from our online store, it can be reported as faulty and returned via our return portal. You will need to supply photos and description of the issue to lodge the return.

Once we receive the item back it will be evaluated by our team and a full refund issued if deemed faulty.

Please note - we do not accept faulty product claims for items that were not purchased online at rusty.com.au. You will need to head back to the store of purchase with proof of purchase.


Creatures of Leisure Stock
We stock a small collection of Creatures of Leisure products. For leashes, Creatures of Leisure guarantees 2 years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. This guarantee does not cover fin cuts, natural wear and tear, neglect or abuse. All other Creatures of Leisure products come with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. This guarantee does not cover natural wear and tear, incorrect application, neglect or abuse.

Futures Stock
We stock a small collection of Future Fins products. Futures offers a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects. This guarantee does not cover natural wear and tear, inappropriate use or alterations to the product and will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Futures Fins.
