About the Charity

The Flood Relief Fund is a collaborative, community-led fund initiated by Byron Community Centre (Byron Bay Community Association Inc, ABN 69 627 365 180) and Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF, ABN 88 105 475 536) to support immediate relief and recovery efforts for the flood events of February and March 2022 which affected the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales.

Byron Bay Community Association Inc (Byron Community Centre), a 100 year old charity with DGR1 status, is facilitating the fundraising and finances. Charitable fundraising number: 13726. The NRCF, also a DGR charity and with 18 years working in grant funding within the Northern Rivers region, is facilitating active research and identifying priority flood relief needs within the whole Northern Rivers community.

The funds are dispersed within the community in the form of grants. A Grants Committee, chaired by Byron’s Citizen of the Year for 2020, Helen Hamilton, and members from both organisations, has been formed to administer the grants for the quickest and most effective support. All donations are tax deductible. 100% of funds raised go to needs weekly, with no admin fee taken.

Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, colour samples may appear different on different monitors. Computer monitors and hand held mobile devices are not all calibrated equally and colour reproduction on the Internet is not precise. Since it is not possible to guarantee our online colours will look the same on all computers or devices we do not guarantee that what you see accurately portrays the colour of the actual surfboard.

We do our very best to make sure our surfboards are as close to the exact colour as possible, but cannot guarantee that what you see is an exact match. Keep in mind the actual surfboard can have colour variations due to the different foam constructions and resins used, for instance EPS can have up to a 20% colour variance when the resin hits the colour.

Note: Also don’t mistake the colour name to be what you may think that colour should be. Example, just because a colour may have the name Pecan, does not mean it will necessarily look like what most people would consider to be a Pecan colour. Please do not order using colour names as your guide, always use a Pantone number if possible or our numbers. Just because products have the same colour name that does not mean they are the same exact colour.

Most importantly, Black surfboards and dark colours, sure, they look cool. But... Black will show any imperfections. Even “cosmetic” ones. Dark colours absorb more heat. The darker the board is the more vulnerable it is to delamination. Black boards / dark colour glasses with epoxy resin will have a purpleish look due to the UV brightener.

Colours on surfboards may vary from colours ordered by customers due to countless factors such as differences in colour modes on image files, browsers, palettes, printer’s ink, etc. Such variances in colours do not constitute acceptable grounds for return. There are no returns due to colour variances. We cannot guarantee Black or any other dark colours, such as deep blue or dark purple.

By checking the box on the checkout screen you are agreeing that you have read, understand and agree to these terms. There are no returns due to colour variances.
