Returns Policy
Eligibility
Full price items can be returned for a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase. Items must be in original condition and packaging, unworn, unwashed, unmarked, with tags attached and not altered. Swimwear must have the hygiene seal intact and unbroken.
Sale items marked as final sale, WSL x Rusty garments and accessories, surf accessories, custom printed items, pre-order items, and international orders are not eligible for return, unless faulty.
Returns Within Australia
Returns incur a $9.99 flat fee, which is deducted from your refund unless the item is faulty. Loyalty members at Tier 4 (’Til Death Do Us Part) receive free returns.
To start a return, visit our Returns Portal with your order number and email address. Once the return is lodged, a label will be generated. Reuse the original Rusty bag, attach the label, and drop it off at your local Post Office or PO Box.
Returns usually take 5–10 business days to reach us. Once received, please allow up to 10 business days for your refund to be processed.
Returns From New Zealand
New Zealand customers are responsible for all return shipping and handling fees. Loyalty members at Tier 4 (’Til Death Do Us Part) receive free returns.
To start a return, visit our Returns Portal with your order number and email address. Once approved, please organise your own tracked return shipping. Include your full name, email, and order number with the package. We recommend using a trackable service, as refunds cannot be completed if the parcel does not arrive safely.
Returns from New Zealand can take 14+ business days to reach us. Once received, allow up to 10 business days for your refund.
Exchanges
Exchanges are available for full price items. To request an exchange, visit our Returns Portal and select your new item. Any charges or refunds will be confirmed once your return has been received and processed. Your exchange will only be confirmed when stock is available at the time of processing. If your chosen item is unavailable, we will issue a refund automatically.
Exchanges can take 5–10 business days to reach our HQ, with a further 10 business days for processing. If you’d prefer to secure a new item immediately, we recommend returning your item for a refund (minus the return fee) and placing a new order.
Faulty Products
If you receive a faulty item purchased from rusty.com.au, you can lodge a return via our Returns Portal. Please include photos and a description of the issue. Once returned, the item will be assessed by our team, and a full refund will be issued if deemed faulty.
Faulty product claims cannot be made for items purchased outside rusty.com.au. For those, please return to the original place of purchase with proof of purchase.
Warranty Information
Rusty Australia Eyewear
Rusty eyewear is covered by a 12-month warranty from purchase against defects in workmanship or materials. This does not cover general wear and tear, loss, or misuse. To make a claim, lodge via the Returns Portal or email online@rusty.com.au. All claims are assessed by our Quality Control team before a resolution is provided.
Creatures of Leisure
Leashes are covered by a 2-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. All other products are covered by a 1-year warranty. These warranties do not cover fin cuts, wear and tear, neglect, or misuse.
Futures
Futures fins are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover wear and tear, inappropriate use, or alterations. Repairs or replacements are at the discretion of Futures Fins.
