Calico fabric was originally from the city of Calicut in southwestern India. It was made by the traditional weavers called cāliyans. The raw fabric was dyed and printed in bright hues, and calico prints became popular in Europe. Now to add the history, designers found this material and put into some shorts to make them stronger and stretchier. In a slim fit, they are more modern than the originals and they even have two print pockets and a rear porch. Let yourself in with a 17-inch outseam and a fitted waist.
